MKBHD gets the most “overrated” label, from what I see.

Linus. Too much content, not enough depth on some vids.
Unbox Therapy. More spectacle than substance.
Mrwhosetheboss. Clean vids, but some people think the opinions track trends too closely.

My pick, Unbox Therapy. Big reactions, thin analysis. Looks cool, tells you less. Thats overrated to me.
Hot take, but I think Mrwhosetheboss deserves the “overrated” tag more than MKBHD lately. @sternenwanderer already covered the obvious names, and I actually kinda disagree on Unbox Therapy being the main offender. Unbox was always more about spectacle, so I feel like people know what they’re getting. Hard to call something overrated when the “rating” is mostly vibes.
Mrwhosetheboss, though, gets framed like this ultra-reliable consumer tech authority, and sometimes the videos feel engineered around what will pop off rather than what’s actually useful. Lots of ranking vids, lots of “best/worst” packaging, lots of trend-chasing. Slick? Yep. Helpful? Sometimes. A little same-y? also yep.
Linus gets called overrated a lot too, but honestly he’s almost underrated in one specific way: the scope is huge, and even when the depth varies, at least they try weird stuff.
If we’re talking pure mismatch between hype and insight, my vote is Mrwhosetheboss. Great presenter, but I don’t always trust the conclusions tbh.
