eBox is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). If you want get the latest code from our svn server check our subversion page for instructions.

Disclaimer

Note that eBox is an advanced network services provider, so it’s intended to be installed on a dedicated machine. eBox overwrites configuration for some network services, so it’s not recommended to have them previously configured (or their configuration could be lost).

When you finally install “eBox platform”, we could access it from a web browser, writing the IP address we configured before the installation on our system. Please remember, eBox uses HTTPS to access management interface. Default password for eBox administration interface is ebox

eBox Installer

In case you want to install eBox in a new machine from scratch, we recommend you use our tailored Ubuntu installer, it will install Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, eBox and all its dependences automatically.

eBox Live CD!

You can test eBox downloading this live CD on a PC, without installations of any kind.

Using this CD you can test the lastest features of eBox platform with just booting your PC from your CD-ROM drive. Note that you need to configure you network using eBox to have Internet access. Password for the administration interface is ‘ebox’.
